Media Release -- Amulet Books, an imprint of Abrams, reveals today in a major press announcement the title, first-printing quantity, and cover of the fifth Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. The Ugly Truth will have the largest first printing to date of any title in the series, with more than 5 million copies, making it one of the largest publishing releases of 2010 when it goes on sale Tuesday, November 9. The cover is purple, following the red, blue, green, and yellow of the first four #1 bestselling books, which are available together for the first time this September in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Box of Books, which features an original Rowley Jefferson cartoon.

Media Release -- VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies, has provided details regarding the launch of brand new manga series set for release this summer. The series will tantalize the most discriminating manga tastes and features romantic dramas, fantasy driven action, the trials of aspiring manga creators, and a tasty slice of life story set in a romantic bistro in Rome.

The kind folks at Archaia Entertainment have supplied ComicList with their solicitations for comics and other products featured in the Auguust 2010 Previews, scheduled to ship October 2010.

Challengers Comics + Conversation is proud to present the Eating With Pictures Charity Cookout. On Saturday, August 7th, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Challengers will be grilling hamburgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs and selling them for $1 each as well as offering chips and sodas, also for $1. 100% of the money raised will go directly to Reading With Pictures, a Chicago-based non-profit organization that advocates the use of comic books in the classroom to promote literacy and to improve educational outcomes for all students.
